Big news from Diane! I enrolled at Des Moines Area Community College for the fall semester. I've decided to pursue a degree in Social Work. It's a long God story, but I do believe that this is what path God wants me to walk on. It's going to be a little hairy around the house with mom taking classes, but it looks like only 1 of them the first semester is on campus. The other 2 are online.
Bob's shoulder is still not functioning correctly, so he's off work until at least the 19th when he goes to see the doc again. At first he was bummed by that bit of news, but he's feeling well enough to do some odd jobs around the house that have been needing attention. Yesterday he started to stain/paint the grout in between the tiles on the kitchen floor.
It's nice from my point of view to have him home! He can take Lauren to VBS for me for one thing! And it relieves Katey of babysitting duty for a little while!
Angie is still trying to decide if she's coming to CO or coming home next month. Pray for her. She's learning a life lesson that really isn't that fun to learn......being broke because of poor $$ management. We'll see where she ends up. If she's in CO I'll be sure to have her look you CO people up.
Matt is busy babysitting for my sister's boy's this summer. It's a few days a week at $30 a day, plus a pool pass for the summer. It's a good deal for him. Beats the heck out of detassling corn!
That's all the news for now. Take care and drop me a line now and then!
Love ya all!

Welcome to my corner of the Universe
This is really just a personal journal of things in my life. I don't update often, just when I need to vent or do some therapeutic journaling. I'm glad you stopped by. If you feel like leaving some encouragement, please do so...we all need a kind word every now and again! Have a blessed day!
About Me
- iowegian
- I'm a 45 year old mother of 4 biological children and currently 2 other little ones who are living with us temporarily. I've been in love with the same man since 1981 and appreciate him more and more the longer we are together. I delayed going to college until I was in my 40's, a decision I don't regret as it has been a wonderful experience for me. I have learned so much and having several years of life experience has given me great perspective.
