Ok, so there is this gal I work with and her name is Sharon. Her fiance's name is Bill. Bill has a little niece whose name is Madison. Madison was born last February, very premature, less than 24 oz. She has never ever left the hospital in Iowa City. This sweet baby has had so many health problems, but one of the major ones is her heart. Her mommy & daddy have been told that she will need to have another heart operation soon, like in the next couple of weeks. The saddest thing is this: if her heart surgery is not successful, the doctors and insurance company have given them 2 options. A) take her off oxygen and other equipment that is helping her to live and let her die or B) put her up for adoption so that she can become a ward of the state, and maybe someone else with more insurance can adopt her and give her another chance at life. They have maxed out her lifetime insurance coverage and the insurance people are saying enough already. Isn't that so sad? It makes me want to cry. So please pray for little Madison and her mommy & daddy. sigh......
I know God is at work in this somewhere.......

Welcome to my corner of the Universe
This is really just a personal journal of things in my life. I don't update often, just when I need to vent or do some therapeutic journaling. I'm glad you stopped by. If you feel like leaving some encouragement, please do so...we all need a kind word every now and again! Have a blessed day!
About Me
- iowegian
- I'm a 45 year old mother of 4 biological children and currently 2 other little ones who are living with us temporarily. I've been in love with the same man since 1981 and appreciate him more and more the longer we are together. I delayed going to college until I was in my 40's, a decision I don't regret as it has been a wonderful experience for me. I have learned so much and having several years of life experience has given me great perspective.

We will be praying for a miracle for this precious baby and her parents.
Do you remember Jennifer Dean who spoke at the last conference in Denver. Her husband is dying of brain cancer - they have a blog site where you can read their journey and it is amazing. It's http://www.waynedean.blogspot.com/
Check it out - and gain some new faith from their journey in the past 6 weeks with this cancer of Wayne's.
